Can the initial deposit to open the online Gold Global Account be sent from another Financial Institution or only from Banco do Brasil S.A.?

The opening deposit must originate from an account of same ownership with Banco do Brasil S.A.. Opening deposits from other financial institutions will not be accepted.¹

¹Your account opening request will be canceled, and the amount received will be returned within 10 business days if it comes from any financial institution other than Banco do Brasil S.A. or from an account with a different account holder. A return fee of $15 will be applied, and additional charges may apply for international transfer from the issuing bank, as well as the exchange rate in effect at the time of the return.
